CVE
CVE (Collaborative virtual environment) is a development environment to support collaboration within XR applications. It is based on a model-based engineering paradigm and a distribution of tasks between independent agents. The execution is deployed as a multi-agent system.
With CVE it is possible to design applications for end users. The “CadNavigator” is one of the most developed examples on the VISION-R platform. The aim of cve is to create a background platform to support the design office of the future where designers interoperate with and from various devices.
But in fact CadNavigator uses the basic cve agents and organizes their collaboration for a particular use. These agents or plugins define essential building blocks of cve.
They are based on meta models independent of the execution by the final agent but there is often a correspondence between agent and meta model
